Today, I am showing you how to install & configure DNS Server.
DNS means Domain Name System.
DNS (Domain Name System) is a client/server application program used to help other application programs.
DNS is like a phone book for the internet. If you know a person's name but don't know their telephone number, you can simply look it up in a phone book.
For example: when you visit website http://google.com in a web browser, your computer uses
DNS to retrieve the website's IP address of 216.58.220.174
Without DNS, you would only be able to visit website by visiting it's IP address directly; and it is difficult to remember IP address.
So, here DNS system that can map a name to an address or an address to a name.
